YouTubeの第五人格公式チャンネルにバックストーリーを紹介する動画が出ています。
以下、動画内の英語に私が日本語で意訳を付けました。
Fantasy is a platform where delusion is sculpted.
(幻想は妄想が作られる場所。)
Yet delusion became a carving knife that pierced into the artist’s heart.
(でも幻想は、芸術家の心臓に刺さった彫刻刀となった。)
Sculptures have been made into shape by the carving knife.
(彫刻物は彫刻刀で形作られてきた。)
Yet the carving knife cut the girl over and over again.
(なのに、その彫刻刀が少女を何度も何度も切りつけた。)
When she had the courage to try, she realized she couldn’t be more ordinary.

Her desire and talent for creation started shining after a mysterious wealthy man invited her to his mansion in order to make a statue. Her family was happy, but they found out that Galatea often talked to the statues as if they were alive.
(謎の富豪の男が彫像を作りのために彼女を家に招待してから、彼女の創作への欲求や才能は開花し始めた。家族は喜んだが、ガラテアが彫刻が生きているかのように話しかけていることに気が付いた。)
One night, her father got upset after seeing her talk to a statues, and threw it off the balcony. Galatea jumped after the statue without hesitation, and became a hemiplegic. Her family sent her to an asylum.
(ある夜、彼女が彫刻と話をしているのを見た父親が怒り、ベランダから彫刻を投げ捨てた。ガラテアは躊躇なく彫刻を追って飛び降り、半身不随となった。家族は彼女を精神病院に送った。)
そして、動画の事件が起こります。
Galatea has a dwarfism disorder. When she was 18, she realized this and became enraged that her soul is in the cage of a girl’s body. I assume that this is the reason why she placed her carving on top of an adult body.
(ガラテアは小人症だ。彼女は18歳の時にこの事に気づき、自分の魂が少女の身体に閉じ込められていることに激怒した。これが理由で彫刻を成人の体に置いたのだと思われる。)

通名と職業を英語で
彫刻は英語でSculpture, Engraving, Carvingなどと言います。
Sculptureは立体造形を指します。
人型の石像や金属の像は全てSculptureになります。
ガラテアが作っているのは立体の像なので、職業はSculptor（彫刻家、彫刻師）となっています。
Engravingは平面の彫刻を指します。
特に版画や彫版、その技法を意味することがあるので、そのイメージを持っているとわかりやすいと思います。
Carvingは彫刻全般を指します。
ちなみに彫刻刀はCarving knife, ノミはChiselと言います。
キャラクターのスキルと特徴
Galatea summons a set of statues which move front and back, or right and left from the designated point. A survivor recieves half damage when he/she either gets slammed into a map object or between them.
(ガラテアは、指定のポイントから前後もしくは左右に動く彫刻のセットを召喚する。サバイバーはマップの障害物に打ち付けられるか彫刻に挟まると半分のダメージを受ける。)
Presense Lv.2 releases the statue’s ability to chase the nearest survivor after two different set of statues hit each other and merge.
(存在感がレベル2になると、異なるセットの2つの彫刻がぶつかって合体した後、近くのサバイバーを追いかけるという能力が解放される。)
When she achives the first presense level, she can get an overhead view by throwing her carving knife. In this view, she can summon her statues and attack survivors.
(存在感がレベル1になると、彫刻刀を投げることでマップを俯瞰してみることができる。この画面では彫刻を使ってサバイバーを攻撃することができる。)
